When attaching the tank to the frame, it is essential to ensure that the tabs align correctly with the screw points. A tank that is installed under tension and/or inadequately cushioned (buffer disc tank fastening) can become leaky or tear at the welding points of the tab! If bending of the tabs is required, this should be done with caution! A fuel tap nut that is tightened too tightly can also damage the tank!
