RESO-LT90 - 2-Channel Tuning Cylinder with 90cm³
Aluminum cylinder with Nikasil coating - liner Ø54 mm
Features:
- Designed for crankshafts with standard stroke = 44 mm
- 1-ring tuning piston Ø 50.00 mm, ring joint centrally on the inlet side, surfaces for thrust washers machined
- low friction between liner and steel piston ring
- significantly improved heat dissipation compared to an aluminum-gray cast iron pairing
- high wear resistance due to highly resilient nickel silicon carbide coating
- more uniform thermal expansion between cylinder and piston
- Inlet diameter Ø 21 mm
This means overall more power, higher torque, higher speeds with simultaneously lower wear and higher durability. In the development of the RESO-LT90 cylinder, the main focus was on achieving a broad power band with strong peak performance, without reducing drivability from the "speed cellar". We were able to achieve an increase in engine power at almost the same speed and are proud to present you with this result.
Extensive dynamometer runs compared with various cylinders and configurations were carried out multiple times and the result was unanimous:
· High peak power and torque
· Very broad power band
· High pulling power
· Efficient and innovative design of all channels
The tuning cylinder head included in the set is matched to the cylinder, additional replacement is not provided. With the inlet diameter of Ø21mm, the cylinder is intended for use with the BVF racing carburetor 21N1!
Assembly note:
The engine housing must be reamed to Ø54.2 mm in order to mount this cylinder!
The manufacturer recommends the use of a high-quality two-stroke oil, such as the Addinol Pole Position 2T.
Scope of delivery:
- 2-channel aluminum cylinder
- Tuning piston with Ø50.00 mm and one piston ring, 2x clips and 1x piston pin
- 4x damping rubbers
- 2x thrust washers
- 1x high-performance needle bearing for the upper connecting rod eye
- 2x carburetor stand bolts
- Gasket set with Ø21mm insulating flange gasket, cylinder base gasket, two cylinder head gaskets: 1x 0.1 mm; 1x 0.2 mm thick
- adapted tuning cylinder head Ø50.00 mm
The racing kit / tuning cylinder RESO is not approved for public road traffic and cannot be mounted on regular engine housings! This racing kit is a development from and for racing!

Habe den Reso 90 in einen komplett neuen Motor aus Neuteilen eingebaut. In Kombination mit einem AMAL 19 und einem AOA2 läuft der Zylinder richtig gut. Wo ich sonst nur im 3. Gang beim 60er Reso hoch gekommen bin, beschleunigt dieser sogar noch im 5. Gang. Das macht richtig Spaß Habe allerdings nur eine 0,1mm Zylinderfußdichtung verbaut, da der Kolben sonst noch weiter unter den Kanälen steht. Eigentlich hätte der Zylinder unten locker 1mm weg gedreht werden müssen. Dann wäre es aber oben eng geworden.

Von außen ist der Zylinder gut Verarbeitet aber leider sind die Kanäle in der Laufbuchse sehr scharfkantig . Das finde ich bei dieser Preisklasse nicht gut .Für mich ist es zwar kein Problem ,da ich schon viele Zylinder selber Bearbeitet habe. Aber gerade bei der Beschichtung muß man schon vorsichtig sein!
