The labeling on the housing reads 6Volt, but the horn also works with 12V!
The signal horn is pre-set from the factory and usually does not need further adjustment. However, it may be necessary to readjust the signal horn to adjust the pitch and volume.
This adjustment is made using the lower adjustment screw, between the two contact shoes. The signal horn must be operated simultaneously.
It is important to ensure that the lower adjustment screw is not pressed through the diaphragm, as this will damage it.

Die Hupe scheint mit 12 V nicht zuverlässig zu funktionieren. Mal "hupt" sie und mal nicht. Die Halterung ist im Vergleich zur originalen Simson-Hupe recht dünn (Materialstärke). Zudem klingt die Hupe m. E. schrecklich. Habe mir letztendlich eine gut erhaltene originale DDR Hupe besorgt. Diese klingt deutlich besser (wenn man das als Hupen bezeichnen kann) und funktioniert tadellos mit 12 V.
