- AF 400 is an asbestos-free gasket material based on aramid fibers

- Product properties of Kautasit AF400:
- Compressibility/compression 7-14%
- Rebound under 50%
- Gas permeability under 0.05 mg/(s*m)
- Temperature resistance up to 250C°
- Oil, gasoline, and acid resistant
- Leaky & dripping engines are a thing of the past with Kautasit
- High precision fit
- Manufactured according to newly created engineering drawing, no comparison to other gaskets
- Quality that has already proven its excellent properties during the GDR era
- No comparison to paper or cardboard gaskets
Note: With the introduction of the S50 in 1975 and the corresponding engine type M53/2, the KR51/1 also received the new version without rubber mounting on the engine suspension. However, for a certain transition period, the engine housing type M53/1 was still installed. This engine center gasket is for the M53/2 (two undamped engine mounts at the rear).
