Author: Frank Rönicke - In 1928, BMW took over the Eisenacher Motorenwerke and also built motorcycles there. - After the war, one of them was built there, the R35, as EMW there until 1955. - The AWO 425 was the second four-stroke motorcycle from GDR production and has been rolling off the assembly line in Suhl, Thuringia since 1950. - Production ended in 1960.
